the doctor (stiles) and his companion, allison, investigate a series of peculiar hallucinations that are plaguing a normal human teenager named lydia martin. it turns out that these hallucinations are being caused by a form of alien parasite; the doctor and allison have to search for the source of the parasite and kill it in order to save lydia: and it seems the source is closer to lydia than they expected.
